Dear [info]flavored_glass,
I don't really know how to tell you this, but I dislike you.
I think I realized it when I threw up in your apartment and I saw you drive out the crazy monk.
I'm sure you're middle-class enough to understand how awful I’ve felt.
I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep my virginity as a memory.
You should also know that I always will remember eggplant-fetishism.
Go and drown yourself,
-Hillary

Christmas List

  • Nov. 27th, 2007 at 3:20 AM
STEP ONE
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post or community (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
- Surf around this community, your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free, if you just got a new laptop and your old would be cherished by someone else who just wants something basic for word processing--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Sad Cat :(

  • Jul. 30th, 2007 at 6:39 AM
Too lazy to write here, but I updated here:

http://eloisefleur.blogspot.com/

Your Score: Sad Cookie Cat

74% Affectionate, 46% Excitable, 53% Hungry

You are the classic Shakespearian tragedy of the lolcat universe. The sad story of a baking a cookie, succumbing to gluttony, and in turn consuming the very cookie that was to be offered. Bad grammar ensues.

And once again...because I can't sleep...

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.

Waking Up: Dark Unions by Bear McCreary

Falling In Love: Roland by Interpol

Fight Scene: No Love Lost by Joy Division

Breaking Up: In Bed All Day by Tilly and the Wall (this would actually be a really depressing song to listen to listen to after breaking up!)

Prom: I Know by Fiona Apple

Life: Clementine by The Decemberists

Mental Breakdown: Always Crashing in the Same Car by David Bowie (hah! More appropriate below or together with the mental breakdown)

Driving: Us Ones In Between by Sunset Rubdown

Flashback: There Will Always Be by Adem

Getting back together: Josephine by Tori Amos

Wedding: Let’s Not Shit Ourselves by Bright Eyes (PERFECT!)

Birth of Child: Primary by The Cure (I guess it’s the, uh, first child…)

Final Battle: Still by Alanis Morissette (I have great strategy, you see)

Death Scene: When I Was a Young Girl by Feist

Funeral Song: Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast (someone needs to play this at the beginning of my funeral…and bring grey stuff (It’s DELICIOUS!))

End Credits: Smells Like Content by The Books

Vitreous humour!!!

  • May. 28th, 2007 at 12:33 AM
Homework? Hah! I scoff at homework!

On Friday, I went to Pirates 3 with my mom, Kait, and Lily. I personally thought it was the best overall. However, I never was one of those rabid Pirates fans from the very beginning.

On Saturday, I went to see the final performance of Little Shop, which was amazing. The plants were so well done, and the people in it were amazing. Afterwards I helped repaint the stage (I'm helpful! *looks smug*) and afterwards there was a party.

Today, even though I had a butt-load of work to do, I went to the China Buffet with my dad and brother. They had imitation crab and it was so amazingly delicious and satisfying...and I ate shrimp and fried rice and various meats in various sauces with steamed broccoli, and it was sooo scrumptious. Then we went to 28 weeks later, which wasn't as good as 28 days later, but still decent. Gory and lame-ass ending...oh, and did I mention that CILLIAN FUCKING MURPHY isn't in it. Yeah, so not as good.

AUBREY!!!! I am getting really far on the "top-secret" thing I am making you!!! It's really really pretty and there is no way I can mess it up!!! So YAY! I hope I get to see you soon. I will be done on the 5th, and you have to come to the Pirate/Birthday party on the 9th. Did you get off? I want bon-bons, mostly. No, that's not true, I want to see you most of all (although I really really want them, they are a close second;))

Stolen from [info]dullednails Name up to three aspects of my life you want me to photograph. They can be specific (my bedroom), or not so specific (something red).

Spring break is over and I am back in school. My classes are bearable, and some are even interesting. I have an 8:30 class, which may or may not kill me, but I also have Eyewitness Testimony in Children, which sounds really amazing. Over break, I got to spend time with Aubrey as well as Peter and eat delicious delicious crab legs. In other news...

It's not quite perfect, but hopefully it will get finished. This is approximately 4 skeins of yarn...and it's not even close to being done. But I am in love with the colors.

My head feels floaty

  • Feb. 26th, 2007 at 9:31 PM
Haven't written in here awhile...I have been sick forever, coughing all over the place. That is mainly what I have been up to, but...

Recently I played Laser Tag for the first time ever, that was pretty awesome.

Valentine's Day was really good. Peter and I ate tacooos and watched some Buffy. Lots of nerdy taco love going around <3

Aubrey got me flowers! She wanted pictures of them, so here they are:

Andrea, I got your packages! I love the movies and thank you so much for sending me the Cure DVD! I absolutely love it. Robert is amaaazing. Hope you had a good birthday!

The term is almost over. Thank god. Spring break...so close...I will no longer be taking Spanish!!!!! DIEDIEDIESPANISH.

My schedule for next term is as follows:

M- 8:30-9:40- Personality (Oh god, however will I wake up?)
11:10-12:20- Stats/Junior Colloquium (Stats is first five weeks, Colloquium is second five weeks)

T- 10:10-11:55- Personality Lab
3:10-4:55- Eyewitness Testimonies in Children (I am really excited for this class)
     7:ish-9:ish? Self Defense for Women

W- 8:30-9:40- Personality
      11:10-12:20- Stats/Junior Colloquium

Haircut and other nothingness

  • Jan. 31st, 2007 at 7:34 PM
Eh, not really anything interesting. Mostly I cannot force myself to work on anything. I fail. I've been a poor student lately. I shouldn't be at college.

But...I got my haircut. Finally.

My grandma is staying at my house and she made me a kick ass head band:

Colorful! )

Um, Midwinter Ball is on Saturday. That should be fun. I get to get all pretty or whatever.
I have nothing to say. This post is pointless. Aubrey, this is for you. I haven't seen you forever :(

Blah blah blah.

  • Jan. 10th, 2007 at 2:16 PM
After much consideration, I have finalized my laminated list a la THIS Friends episode.
Took me about two years to finalize, but here it is.
The List. )

On an unrelated topic, I have learned how to knit. I have half-completed a striped scarf. (I ran out of yarn).

TADA! )

This knitting thing…it’s all part of my grand plan to become a crazy cat lady who knits and mutters to herself and wears long muumuus and tunics and gardening clogs. And big straw hats with plastic flowers on top. I am going to attempt to make mismatched socks, and perhaps a hat. I just have to figure out these circular knitting needles.

I need it to be the weekend.

Latin.

  • Dec. 7th, 2006 at 8:54 AM
I was flipping through my blue Latin book tonight, and found a bunch of funny Chico statements. It reminded me how much I loved Latin (studied my ass off for nothing, I did.):

Who are the cowardly souls over here? (None of us wanted to volunteer)

Beauty is good, but beauty is not always kind.

There is no ‘there’ there.

Would you like to go 10 minutes early? Would that make your Friday happy? (As I recall, my Friday was very happy)

You’ll be like a cancer growing! (Hurray? I believe he was commenting on how our studying would increase our Latin knowledge)

If you would begin to be a happy man, Hillary, then that would be great. (After I made a confusing Latin verb statement).

We have a whole forest of woulds in English.

It’s the would of the past of the future. (god I hate tenses. Past of the future? Fuck you.)

Aaaand, one of my favorite sentences from the book:

Oedipus, quod liber cura non erat, se oculis privavit.
Oedipus, because he was not free from care, deprived himself of (his) eyes.

I was hoping to find my Latin notebook, because I know I wrote some funny stuffs in there as well.
I studied so much Latin. Translated sooooo many sentences...and remember nothing.

I am still awake. Jesus. Someone seriously needs to be here with me when I am awake. I get so talkative and restless.
